Connected Farm Introduction



Connected Farm™, from Trimble, is an integrated operations management solution that combines industry-leading hardware and software to increase efficiency and effectiveness for today’s farming business. It enables efficient management of farming operations between the field and office through wireless communication from handheld-to-office, vehicle-to-office, and vehicle-to-vehicle.

Office Sync:

Office Sync is a component of Trimble's Connected Farm™ solution. Office Sync provides wireless data transfer between the field and office, creating a link between your handheld device, vehicle display, and desktop computer.

Office Sync eliminates the use of memory cards and storage devices for linking the field to your office. Collecting data from the field is extremely important and Sync secures that information when you need it most.

Hardware solutions that are compatible with Office Sync include the Trimble® displays, Trimble handheld computers and/or other hardware devices utilizing the Farm Works field software. Data transfer can include information such as planned and completed jobs, A/B guidance lines, drainage designs, soil sampling and scouting maps, application maps, yield maps, and variable rate prescription maps.

Vehicle Sync:

Vehicle Sync is a component of Trimble's Connected Farm™ solution. Vehicle Sync allows real-time wireless data transmission between multiple vehicles operating in the same field.

Users with vehicles that are equipped with a combination of the FmX integrated display and a DCM-300 modem with a simple unlock can allow vehicles to share guidance lines, coverage mapping, point/area/line features, as well as the vehicle icons of other operating units within a field. Operators or managers no longer need a USB drive to move the data from one unit to another during critical operating times of the year. This improves operational efficiency and accuracy with up-to-date information being shared in real-time.

Vehicle Manager:

Vehicle Manager is a component of Trimble's Connected Farm™ solution. Vehicle Manager allows you to track vehicle movement in order to maximize fuel usage and improve fleet management.

Vehicle Manager may also be used to place geo-fences around farms and fields to identify when vehicles are entering or leaving a site in order to eliminate incorrect chemical application on crops and minimize vehicle theft.
