Trimble Field IQ for Strip-Till / Anyhydrous (NH3)
Accurate liquid application options.
Prior to planting the soil needs to be prepared, usually by some form of tillage such as strip till, to kill the weeds in the seedbed that would crowd out the crop or compete with it for water and nutrients. Strip till is a method of conservation tillage and leaves at least 30% residue coverage* on the soil. Residue slows the flow of runoff that can displace and carry away soil particles. In strip-till, only the narrow strip of land needed for the crop row is tilled.
The Field-IQ system has strip till functionality, providing rate control for liquid and granular application.

The fertilizer control function manages accurate applications:
Avoid overlap in headlands and point rows using section control for up to 48 sections in strip till, NH3, and sidedress toolbars
NEW! Simultaneously control the application rate of up to two different materials when using the CFX-750™ display (or six materials with the FmX® integrated display) by connecting to existing valves and flow meters already on the tool bar
Monitor delivery line blockage for granular strip till
Vary rates manually, using prescriptions or GreenSeeker system sensors, to increase yields while keeping records of what was applied
Use a Rawson™ PAR 2 variable rate drive for very fast response going from stand-still to material application
Create maps of non-productive areas in the field and eliminate the application of expensive fertilizer in non-crop growing areas, such as waterways and headlands
Rawson Variable Rate Drives
Vary the rate of application to match the needs of specific areas of your field:
Use a Rawson™ PAR 2 variable rate drive to handle high performance air delivery systems
Replaces ground drive mechanism, eliminating chains, clutches and wheel slippage
Very fast response, going from stand-still to applying material at the correct rate within a fraction of a second
GreenSeeker® RT200 nitrogen application system
Now there's an easier way to apply the correct amount of fertilizer and chemicals to your field. You'll save on liquid fertilizer and chemicals with automatic boom section control. Reduce overlaps and improve productivity by maintaining speed and automatically turning off application at end of rows. Plus, with the addition of industry-leading GreenSeeker® and WeedSeeker® products, Trimble now offers on-the-go, crop-sensing technologies. Whether you choose to map crop vigor (NDVI), vary rates of application, or just spot spray where undesired plants exist, Trimble has a product for every situation, helping to optimize placement of crop inputs, increase yield and reduce environmental impact.
